How To Make Dave Ramsey Proud
Please allow me to rant for a little while....
Several days ago, after balancing our checkbook, I discovered that someone so geniously stole our checking account number and printed several checks with false names on them. This obviously takes technique in order to clear two banks without even drawing attention. One would think that with this level of intelligence that this person would be contributing to finding the cure for common diseases, but no, not this individual. They would rather spend their valuable time shopping and spending someone else's hard-earned money at gas stations, quick marts, grocery stores and Wal-Mart. Fast forward to approximately $900 in fraudulent checks deducted from our account. What a mess! We closed our account as soon as possible and transferred our balance to a new account. I never realized how much I depend on plastic! I am now waiting 5 to 7 business days for my new check card to arrive and possibly up to an additional four for the PIN to follow. Today I found myself in the front of the checkout line at a store before I realized that I didn't have any money; of course, I never carry cash! After stopping by the ATM on the way home to take out my weekly allowance, I decided that there is no better time than the present to begin Dave Ramsey's cash only policy. Wish me luck!

Oh what a bummer! I think that's one of my worst fears. Identity theft or what happened to you! I never carry cash either and didn't realize how "plastic" friendly I was until we've been waiting for our new checking account up here to open. My parents love Dave Ramsey and quote him all the time. They're actually taking a class of his right now. So what else is new in your life and who from Northly to you keep in touch w/?
Wow Beth. That stinks. I want to see pics of your cute little house!
Hey, can you get Becca blogging? I guess she probably has 1,000 other things to do though? :)
jeez - do you get your money back? how does that work? i agree get becca to blog she is great little writer...love you friend and i hope your money situation gets worked out - i mean really who steals from a cop and his wife - dumbo!!
Of all places to get back in contact with you. It's me Sara (McGhie) Varghese. That isn't very cool about your account.
Sorry to hear about the checks! Grrr...that is horrible!!! I hope you get things worked out!
I think I found Karyns blog? Maybe? Called Heading Home...I did leave a comment on it so I hope it is her! :)
It'll be fun keeping up with you guys!
Did you say you have a dog? You should post a picture of the little one! :) We just got our puppy!! He is a hand full that is for sure! They are pretty much just like having a child!!
Not really funny, but had it been our account, none of thier $900 in checks would have cleared. So I guess working for the government and not making much DOES have some perks. :)
